Cape Guy was founded in 2014 by Ben Nicholson when he left the world of AAA games to follow his dream of making indie games.
Prior to founding Cape Guy, Ben worked for 11 years as a (mainly) physics, gameplay, engine and lead programmer for Sony’s London Studio, Rocksteady Studios and Frontier Developments. Highlights of his work so far include being the physics developer for Batman:Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City games where he got to develop Batman’s cape as well as as all the other fun physics (rope, hair, fluid, explosions etc.) in the game.
At Frontier Ben led the team who developed the destruction physics used in ScreamRide and led development of parts of the engine technology used in all of Frontier’s games, including Elite:Dangerous.
Cape Guy has so far released 80 Days on PC and Mac and Ski Three. His third game, Re-Entry, is currently in development…
